About The Position

Leads and participates in a small team providing phlebotomy services to patients at a lab site. Ensures adherence to standards and policies. Trains new employees as assigned. Captures data, audits processes and reports selected metrics to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (or other accrediting agency), or certification must obtain within 3 months of hire date
• Six months of phlebotomy experience
• Strong interpersonal and clerical skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation
• Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Mobile
• Bending, stooping and reaching above head and lifting and carrying as part of daily responsibilities
• Keyboard, repetitive tasks of typing and phone use

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy Training or Phlebotomy Technical School
• One year of phlebotomy experience at MHSM
