This role is responsible for executing the plasmapheresis process by performing venipunctures. The Phlebotomist 1 ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (e.g., FDA approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP) to maintain the highest production standards and facility compliance. Key aspects of the role include maintaining a high level of customer service and a positive donor experience, managing supplies, reviewing donor identification, and ensuring donor confidentiality. The position involves setting up and preparing equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis, executing venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety standards, and operating automated plasmapheresis machines. The Phlebotomist 1 monitors donor conditions, manages biohazard waste, performs equipment calibration and maintenance, and maintains accurate documentation. The role also involves driving training efficiencies and troubleshooting machine alarms and alerts.
