The Philanthropy Officer for Leadership Giving is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual donors and prospects with the capacity to make philanthropic investments ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 in support of the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. This role focuses on building authentic donor relationships, executing personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies, and securing annual and multi-year commitments through meaningful engagement. Serving as a frontline fundraiser, the Philanthropy Officer partners closely with clinical leaders, volunteers, and foundation colleagues to connect donors to high-impact giving opportunities that advance patient care, programs, and community health initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in philanthropy, business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field. Master’s degree or CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) certification, preferred. Significant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership and/or major gift experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or educational setting. Experience working in healthcare or hospital philanthropy preferred. Experience managing a Grateful Patient Program or similar healthcare philanthropy initiative preferred.
