About The Position

The Philanthropy Officer, Donor Engagement collaborates closely with Donor Engagement and the Advancement Team, with support from the Donor Engagement Coordinator, to develop and implement strategies that attract and retain donors across all giving levels through our impact groups including Women United and Emerging Leaders.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficiency in database management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in fundraising and/or major gifts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate volunteer meetings and develop strategic networking, volunteer, and engagement opportunities that drive new donor acquisition and strengthen existing donor relationships in our impact group including Women United and Emerging Leaders.
  • Plan meetings with impact group leadership groups including Women United Leadership Council and Emerging Leaders Steering Committee.
  • Plan and execute donor-centric cultivation and stewardship events, including Women United, Emerging Leaders, and the Power of Women signature event, with a focus on deepening engagement and expanding the donor base.
  • Partner cross-functionally to manage event strategy, calendars, and logistics, including marketing, invitations, RSVPs, and registration.
  • In partnership with Marketing and Communications, develop and execute integrated outreach strategies across digital, print, and email channels; manage and segment mailing lists to effectively promote engagement opportunities and drive donor growth through impact groups.
  • Develop and implement a personalized, individual equity growth plan.
  • Participate in annual equity training.
  • Support UWRI initiatives (e.g., Equity Challenge) and participate/ agency groups (e.g., Heritage and Professionals, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Culture, Equity and Strengths Committee (CES).
  • Participate in community, state or national (e.g., United Way Worldwide) equity growth opportunities.
