The Philanthropy Gift Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategies to secure major gift support for the Agency. This position will be proactive in developing a portfolio of personal relationships with current and future major gift donors. Incumbent is responsible for defining and expanding the program through their relationships with individual donors and foundations. Must work collaboratively with the CEO, CEAO, Development staff and other departments. The Director maintains a portfolio of active prospects for support, and is responsible for the successful solicitation of these prospects. Essential Functions: Maintains a portfolio of current major gift donors and major donor prospects for cultivation and solicitation Solicitation & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic cultivation and solicitation plans, including making direct asks for major gifts. Prospect Development: Research, identify, and qualify new major gift prospects (individuals, corporations, foundations). Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with existing and prospective donors, acting as a primary contact. Stewardship: Ensure donors feel appreciated and connected, leading to retention and increased giving. Collaboration: Work with executive leadership, board members, program staff, and communications teams to align fundraising efforts. Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate donor records, track progress in a donor database, and provide reports.
