Job Summary: Supports the development of the medical center's Philanthropy Program. Contributes to the development and implementation of thoughtful, strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for prospective donors. Engages with physicians and nurses across multiple service lines, and coordinates with administrators and other development officers as necessary. Manages philanthropic initiatives with a focus on collaboration, and best practices. Creates buy-in with volunteers, colleagues, and direct care providers by creating a team-based approach toward program and donor engagement.

Requirements

  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
  • Three years' fundraising experience: Preferred
  • One year's leadership experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares an initial draft of foundation and sponsorship proposals in support of special events fundraising.
  • Participates in the medical center's standing nursing committee's and physician committees to further relationships with team members and increase knowledge of key initiatives.
  • Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, and solicits a portfolio of Philanthropy Donors and Prospects in collaboration with colleagues and direct care providers.
  • Ensures regular contact with donors and prospects through various activities and communications.
  • Supports the development of medical center, foundation, and philanthropy engagement story telling by scheduling regular meetings with appropriate service lines and partnering with foundation staff.
  • Supports various special event fundraising by managing a small portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
