The Philanthropy Coordinator plays a critical role on the within the Global Giving Team supporting the execution of fundraising strategies and donor engagement initiatives. The Global Giving Team consists of Philanthropy, Direct Response and Marketing. This position provides vital support to the Vice President of Development through project coordination, donor communication, event support and data integrity. The Philanthropy Coordinator is detail oriented, highly organized and passionate about using their skills to help advance the mission of MAP. This position must thrive in a collaborative environment and eager to grow in the field of nonprofit fundraising.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date calendar for Global Giving Team in coordination with Philanthropy, Direct Response, and Marketing.
  • Coordinate and support internal team meetings, summits (virtual and in-person), and trainings by managing scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, notetaking, and tracking action items to completion.
  • Administer the execution and project management of special projects and initiatives by tracking deadlines, deliverables, and priorities across multiple fundraising efforts led by Chief Development and Marketing Officer and Vice President of Development.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new fundraising initiatives ensuring processes, collateral and systems are aligned for long-term success.
  • Assist with donor acknowledgements and personalized stewardship communications.
  • Serve as primary liaison for philanthropy-related inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Monitor and reconcile philanthropy team travel expenses within approved budgets.
  • Manage monthly credit card reconciliation, ensuring timely submission of receipts, proper coding of expenses, and adherence to organizational finance policies.
  • Execute end to end support for signature donor events, small gatherings, and international vision trips.
  • Serve as primary liaison with external vendors to coordinate services, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships that support philanthropy.
  • Support event logistics including but not limited to RSVP management, material preparation, rooming lists, and onsite coordination.
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain donor and vendor information in CRM, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and timely processing to support effective fundraising and relationship management.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures for development processes and systems.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of donor information and financial data in compliance with organizational privacy policies.
  • Serve as a trusted representative of the Philanthropy team within Global Giving, modeling professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field.
  • Familiarity with donor-centric language and principles of fundraising.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, mission driven environment.
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with donor database management and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with event management platforms and registration systems.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, nonprofit support, communications, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with donor databases (e.g., Agilon, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar) required, not preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset and proactive approach to exercising problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for philanthropy and the mission of MAP.
