A new role, the Philanthropy Associate will support CHI’s nascent Business Development and Philanthropy team and play a critical role in growing a culture of philanthropy within the organization. The Philanthropy Associate will support CHI’s overarching strategy to enable a sustainable operating infrastructure and catalyze philanthropic support as we aim to diversify revenue through institutional, individual, government, and corporate partnerships and philanthropy. As a member of the Development team, you will facilitate the daily activities of gift officers and support their fundraising efforts by monitoring and capturing fundraising updates in a database of record (CRM), pulling fundraising reports, and managing communications with external stakeholders. This role will also manage the Chief External Engagement Officer’s calendar, and support her in coordinating priorities, assignments, meetings, and travel. Core responsibilities will also include assisting with assembling research and profiles on funders in advance of donor meetings, creating regular fundraising reports and other database reports as needed while continually maintaining, updating, and correcting database records on behalf of the Development team. The Philanthropy Associate will be a trusted resource to Development team colleagues and will conduct preliminary research on prospective donors. Additional responsibilities include initiating efforts to ensure contacts and documentation from meetings with funders and donors are submitted in a timely manner and providing a final review of documents being submitted to the Chief External Engagement Officer.
