We are searching for a seasoned professional who excels at building trust, cultivating meaningful relationships, and working behind the scenes to make impactful connections. In this position, you’ll meet donors where they are - supporting them on their philanthropic journey with expertise, discretion, and genuine care. You’ll serve as a trusted partner, connecting people and resources in ways that inspire generosity and help create lasting community impact. Are you driven to help individuals and families integrate philanthropy into their broader wealth, legacy, and planning strategies? By prioritizing elite/exceptional client service, this advisor collaborates with HNW and UHNW clients and their professional teams to align philanthropic aspirations with long-term wealth and legacy strategies. By proactively anticipating client needs and delivering strategic, collaborative solutions, you will help clients structure and manage charitable giving through donor-advised funds and other philanthropic vehicles. Managing a portfolio of private client relationships and working closely with wealth managers, attorneys, and nonprofit partners, you will guide clients in organizing their giving to align with their financial goals, values, and long-term legacy. Working directly with donors on legacy planning and developing thoughtful giving strategies, you will support donors nationwide in organizing and enhancing their philanthropic impact in the communities they care about. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Vice President of Philanthropic Services and is based in our Kansas City office, with local travel and hybrid flexibility after a successful training period.

Requirements

  • A career that demonstrates the ability to build and develop meaningful relationships
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals and families through a family office, wealth management or philanthropy
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Financial acumen and comfort with charitable tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience working with or within boards of directors
  • Willingness to pursue 21/64 Certified Advisor designation

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with donors, families, and their advisors by fostering curiosity to understand their goals deeply and engaging as a trusted thought partner to co-create meaningful, lasting impact.
  • Provide strategic guidance on charitable giving and legacy planning, demonstrating stewardship through responsible management of resources and a commitment to long-term impact.
  • Manage multiple, evolving priorities with a strategic mindset, ensuring all donor requests are handled with precision.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs and engage with intentional outreach, turning potential challenges into opportunities through creative and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional service and contribute to donor education and engagement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including boards of directors, by actively listening, presenting ideas clearly, and serving as a thought partner to drive informed decisions.
