About The Position

As a per diem, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing audits; inventory management; and procuring drugs. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. Location: Centennial Peaks is an innovative, 104-bed hospital offering comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents with an average census of 90 patients. Located in Louisville, the facility serves communities in Boulder and Denver as well as the Front Range. The hospital is located approximately 5 minutes from Flat Irons Crossing Mall in Broomfield. About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are 8:00am-4:30pm daily. The pharmacy utilizes HCS and Omnicell. The remodeled pharmacy is located on the main floor and bright and spacious! Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will work two weekends each month up to 16 hours per weekend and occasionally during the week on an as needed basis but flexible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Colorado Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern license in good standing
  • National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA) required
  • BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in a hospital setting
  • Experience with Omnicell
  • Experience with pharmacy software and MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
  • Deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units
  • Maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates
  • Support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery
  • Comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations
