Pharmacy Technician (Per diem)
The Hospital of Central Connecticut is actively hiring Pharmacy Technicians for our inpatient Pharmacy Department. All interested candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacist, our Pharmacy Technicians assists in performing pharmaceutical functions which include unit dose dispensing, compound preparation, and other related procedures that require knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology. There is opportunity to specialize in sterile compounding, control substance handling, or obtaining medication histories in our Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Exemplary customer service and communication skills.
• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and by March 31st of each year.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a sterile compounding environment is preferred.
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician program in preferred.
• Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly preferred.
