About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician at WE LEVEL UP is responsible for supporting licensed pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is integral to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician certification program preferred.
• CPR Certificate
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Experience with pharmacy software systems and technology.
• Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail in medication dispensing and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
• Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication histories and insurance information.
• Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy operations.
• Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
