Requirements

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate.
Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Must be able to pass a math test pertinent to retail pharmacy activities.
Must maintain BLS /CPR.
Must maintain required certifications.
Must have two (2) years healthcare experience.
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community and the general public.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Demonstrate project management skills and understanding of 340b regulations, inventory management and managing a cash register.
Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
Computer experience Windows, Excel, and Accounting software.

Nice To Haves

1+ years pharmacy logistics preferred.
Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists by entering patient information to ensure appropriate medication dosing.
Dispense medications accurately and safely to patients.
Maintain medication stock and supplies, adhering to safety protocols.
Adjust workload priorities to maximize efficiency.
Handle insurance adjudication and pre-authorizations promptly.
Complete daily and monthly checklists, including expired drug checks and orders.
Provide patient counseling and document refusals.
Communicate with physicians' offices and insurance companies as necessary.
Conduct weekly controlled substance counts and document findings.
Help train new pharmacy staff.
Deliver exceptional customer service and engage respectfully with customers and colleagues.
Participate in shift change communication hand-offs.
Always maintain patient confidentiality.
Report unresolved issues to the Pharmacist, Manager.
Inform peers about drug shortages, availability, and pricing.
Track non-stock requests and offer recommendations.
Engage in interim and annual physical inventories.
Support the 340b program's inventory integrity.
Maintain prescription files per policy and procedure.
Manage cash collection and daily money procedures.
Reconcile prescription fills with billing records.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
