About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician position provides pharmaceutical care within the NC Department of Adult Correction at the Central Prison HealthCare Complex in Raleigh, North Carolina. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, refill screening and processing, patient profile review, prescription end product preparation, nursing inquiries, ancillary supply replenishment, packing slip reconciliation, inventory control responsibilities, returned medication evaluation and recovery, record keeping and storage, medication courier deliveries and robotic dispensing system operational functions. Hours for position will be 10:30am - 7:00pm. Participation in Saturday and Holiday rotation schedule is required.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program; or High school diploma or General Educational Development diploma and one year of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some positions may require certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
