About The Position

The pharmacy technician lead is an assistant leadership role within Enterprise Pharmacy. The technician will have leadership over the technicians within their work area and be responsible for assisting with the management of staff and overseeing pharmacy operations. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience (Required)
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB or NHA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient/provider/customer care
  • Use the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient care
  • Participate in patient/provider/customer care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacist
  • Prepare and label medications appropriately for distribution.
  • Retrieve, review, and perform inventory management for medications and supplies in the pharmacy.
  • Maintain pharmacy records.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the pharmacy in compliance with hospital and accreditation policies.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy personnel.
  • Oversee and assist with operational activities within the pharmacy such as, but not limited to: technician trainee education, technician scheduling and evaluation, oversight of inventory management, performance improvement or staff development plans.
  • Oversee and assist with quality improvement and other projects as directed by the pharmacy administrative team.
