About The Position

The Automation Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining pharmacy automation systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely medication dispensing. This role supports pharmacy operations by troubleshooting automation equipment, monitoring inventory levels within automated systems, and collaborating with pharmacists and technicians to optimize workflow. The position primarily follows a daytime schedule but may occasionally require variable shifts based on departmental needs. Weekend coverage may also be required to meet operational demands.

Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equiv Required.
  • 3 years Required.
  • Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) Required.
  • Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association, if applicable per state legislation Required.
  • Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation Required.

Responsibilities

  • Pharmacy Operations.
  • Maintains knowledge of the operational functions.
  • Central operations.
  • Sterile and hazardous medications compounding.
  • Decentral operations.
  • Controlled substances.
  • Provides support in the appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems. Maintains expertise in electronic medical records processed and accurately interprets records.
