Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Pharmacy provides care for the diverse needs of more than 400,000 patients accessing Cleveland Clinic’s ambulatory pharmacies each year. This team consistently produces a positive financial contribution while achieving greater than 90% patient satisfaction scores. Caregivers in this role will work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and Saturdays as needed. A minimum of 12 shifts per month is required. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Identify needs and implement standardized clinical pharmacy services across pharmacy service lines (e.g., Critical Care, Oncology). Provide leadership to service line by proactively assisting in high level clinical services, training, and education. Provide mentoring to pharmacists, residents and students. Provide ideas regarding new clinical services, cost savings initiatives, and practice innovation through active participation in strategic planning efforts. Establish processes to evaluate quality assurance within service line. Identifies pharmacy representation for academic responsibilities and interdisciplinary committees. Participate in interviewing and recommends selection of candidates. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients. Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy. Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items. Operate the point-of-sale cash register system. Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products. Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.
