As a PRN Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in moving medications throughout the facility to enhance patient care. You will join a team that empowers every caregiver to make valuable contributions to patient-focused care, teaching, and research activities. This team embraces a positive attitude and respects and supports one another to provide the best care possible. A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 6:00am – 2:30pm.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
  • You must be eligible for registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and register within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • CPhT through the PTCB is required within 18 months of hire
  • Six months of hospital experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the Registered Pharmacist.
  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
  • Fill medications carts daily.
  • Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
  • Repackage bulk medications.
