About The Position

Job Summary: Assists the pharmacist to provide prescribed pharmaceuticals for a designated patient population. Provides technical support and other activities for the Pharmacy department as delegated by a pharmacist.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Mississippi driver's license.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of MS.
• Must be certified as a CPHT by successful completion of the PTCB or ExCpt exam.
• Ability to learn medical abbreviations, drug strengths, IV solutions, drug generic and brand names, and basic pharmacy operations, including computer systems.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Ability to use Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and Windows.
