Proficient in the use of various pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical record. In the respective areas, responsible for the safe and accurate preparation of non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous medications according to USP 795, 797 and 800 guidelines. Perform at higher-level work by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsible for medication handling and delivery, including controlled dangerous substances and hazardous medications. Follow proper medication safety practices (e.g., look alike sound alike, high alert, expirations and recalls, temperature and humidity documentation) Additionally, maintain competency and ongoing training in the specialized areas. Assist in training of pharmacy personnel, when appropriate. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail and teamwork.
