Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty
About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role maintains workflow, inventory, billing and other complex pharmacy processes. Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow. Works directly with pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory. Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians. Mentors and trains new employees to build knowledge of the job area. Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years
- Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
