About The Position
Assists pharmacists in the procurement, preparation, dispensing and monitoring of prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals according to professional and regulatory standards and practices.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent; competent math skills; typing, filing, manual dexterity.
- 3-4 years Healthcare Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of drug names and computer skills required.
- Prior experience with Pyxis (or a similar automatic dispensing cabinet and MAK (computerized medication administration) desired.
- Registered by the State of Vermont and PTCB Certification
- Requires manual dexterity.
- Requires proficiency in use of office equipment, computer, telephone, copier, telefax.
- Requires use of Laminar flow hood, biological safety cabinet and barrio isolator.
- Requires corrected vision to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions.
- Requires some exposure to hazardous products.
Nice To Haves
