Specialty experience is not mandatory and will be part of a 6 week training module. Specialty Pharmacy Technicians at MaineHealth work within a call center performing core functions of the closed-door outpatient pharmacy: providing customer service by answering phone requests, triaging calls to the appropriate team, and coordinating care for patients taking specialty medications. Continuous learning within the job (patient workload split into teams ranging through cystic fibrosis, cardiology, oncology, transplant, virology- HIV, Hep B/C, rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology and neurology).
