Driving a targeted 40% site-to-hire conversion rate, ensuring students transition seamlessly from externship to employment. Collaborating closely with the Program Director and campus leadership to align externship opportunities with program goals and regulatory standards. Providing mentorship and guidance to students, enhancing their professionalism and career development. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, safeguarding the integrity of the externship program. This role offers a dynamic work environment that emphasizes collaboration, strategic impact, and the opportunity to shape the future of pharmacy technician professionals. Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a proven track record of professional excellence.
  • Current and active State Board License along with NHA/PTCB Certification.
  • At least 3 years of prior teaching or training experience, demonstrating strong instructional capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20–50% of the time for site visits and externship-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and develop a diverse network of quality externship sites for pharmacy technician students.
  • Collaborate with externship sites to achieve a 40% hire rate for students post-externship completion.
  • Monitor and track student performance, attendance, and compliance throughout the externship process.
  • Ensure all externship sites adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards, maintaining program integrity.
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate quality standards and serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and externship partners.
  • Provide career readiness support, including guidance on professionalism, career development, and job placement post-externship.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student externship assignments, performance metrics, and feedback.
  • Lead externship orientations and actively participate in campus events to promote the program and engage stakeholders.
