About The Position

Position Highlights: Position: Pharmacy Technician Location: Main Hospital Responsibilities: Process and fill prescriptions accurately for both inpatient and outpatient needs Maintain drug inventory by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and checking expiration dates Restock automated dispensing cabinets and medication carts Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation Comply with hospital, state, and federal regulations regarding medication handling Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and equipment maintenance tasks Support billing and insurance claim processes as needed Adhere to established procedures to ensure medication safety and confidentiality Abide by all current United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recommendations at all times Responsible for completing patient billing in a thorough and timely manner Responsible for inter-departmental billing as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Pharmacy technician certification with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.
