About The Position

This position supports daily pharmacy operations including medication preparation, inventory, documentation, and patient service. The Pharmacy Technician ensures compliance, efficiency, and safety in medication handling under licensed pharmacist supervision. The Pharmacy Technician - Float provides coverage for various locations as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Active Pharmacy Technician License from the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance may be required if requesting mileage reimbursement.
Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Receives and processes prescription orders and clinic supply requests accurately and promptly.
Completes transactions by billing appropriate payer(s) after pharmacist verification.
Prepares reports, labels, and pharmacy records; maintains logs and documentation.
Assists with identifying and resolving prescription processing issues.
Answers phones, routes calls, and takes messages for pharmacy staff.
Travels to deliver medications or pick up orders at other CCHCI sites.
Facilitates daily and weekly bank deposits and records transactions.
Completes equipment maintenance and reports malfunctions.
Performs medication storage area inspections and replenishes supplies.
Participates in pharmacy meetings and performs administrative duties.
Trains new employees and may assist with technician trainee instruction.
Works assigned weekend shifts.
