About The Position
Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required. This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus specialized, short-term training in the areas of pharmacy law, practices standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms and trade/generic names.
- Pharmacy Technician National Certification through exam or transfer required.
- Active New Mexico Board of Pharmacy. pharmacy technician license required.
- At least two years-experience in pharmacy
- Completion of Crucial Conversations, Appreciative Coaching and Influencer training for Lead Technicians and Lead Administrative Technician
- Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency and Hazardous Medication Training for all employees preparing sterile, hazardous medications.
Responsibilities
- Functions as Lead Technician in assigned area of work.
- Actively participates in the Quality Process, including improvement initiatives.
- Actively participates in policy, procedure, and standard work development.
- Supports leadership to drive Employee and Customer Engagement Or primary responsibility is to prepare sterile hazardous (ie Oncology)
- Or operates in lead administrative technician position within the department.
- Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
- Performs other functions as required.
