About The Position

This role combines instruction and externship coordination. Instructors provide engaging learning experiences across various settings and serve as academic role models committed to student success. The Externship Coordinator oversees all aspects of the externship program, ensuring a smooth transition from classroom to clinical practice. As part of Academic Affairs, the role ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory standards to support student achievement and licensure.

Requirements

Valid state issued driver's license (required)
Unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license or certification in the state where instruction occurs (required)
TN - Unencumbered Registered Pharmacy Technician (required)
4+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience (required)
Experience with compounding in sterile and non-sterile environments (required)
Experience with advanced algebraic functions and pharmacy mathematics (required)

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting
Organize and present class objectives in a clear and concise manner
Foster and maintain a safe, orderly, and controlled environment in classrooms and labs
Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment for instructional use
Ensure curriculum accuracy by staying current with industry standards and practices
Provide regular and substantive interaction with students in online course components
Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments
Offer constructive feedback and academic support to promote student success
Identify at-risk students and develop individualized success plans to improve retention
Coordinate and supervise student externship placements in collaboration with internal and external partners
Develop new externship sites and maintain relationships with existing partners
Oversee compliance with school policies and timely completion of required documentation
