Requirements

- If chosen , you will be asked to register with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy and Raley’s will cover the cost
- You will get paid while you train in the pharmacy to learn different aspects of the pharmacy under the pharmacist's supervision
- After 1500 hours of training, you can apply for a Pharmacy Technician License with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy!
- Pharmacy Technician schools require completion of 6-12 month of course work and these programs cost thousands of dollars.
- This is a great opportunity to obtain your Pharmacy Technician license without the cost of an expensive program all while getting paid to train.
Responsibilities
- Waits on customers, answers phone and operates cash register in the Pharmacy
- Operates the computer, inputs data, looks up refills, and retail prices of prescription drugs
- Calls doctors' office for authorization to refill prescriptions (California only)
- Receives orders from patient
- Types pharmacy labels (California only)
- Checks in merchandise and stocks shelves
- Conducts general housekeeping duties when needed
- Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacist with filling prescriptions and pull prescription merchandise from shelves.
