About The Position

Assists the Pharmacists in the performance of routine duties in the practice of hospital pharmacy. This job includes order processing, inventory control, and quality assessment and improvement in pharmacy operations in accordance with accredited hospital operations in accordance with accredited hospital policies and procedures, ethical and professional practices, Joint Commission standards and State and Federal requirements. Accurately and efficiently processes and fills medication orders. Delivers medications from pharmacy to nursing units; returns items from nursing units as needed. Wholesale order processed and received correctly. Demonstrates leadership skills and critical thinking skills. Provides general assistance to pharmacist staff. Requirements

  • Less than High School.
  • 6 months of hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date. If you are a new registered, you must have registration upon hire.
  • Nationally certified pharmacy technician or Pharmacy Intern.
