We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Pharmacy Technician at varying levels (I, II). The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • TSBP Registration
  • 6+ months of pharmacy tech experience OR previous experience as a pharmacy service representative OR completion from an accredited pharmacy technician program
  • Ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions
  • Stress tolerance – to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical Stamina – to work in fast paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy
  • Ability to address customers about complaints and problems

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

  • Includes all duties of a Pharmacy Technician I
  • Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law
  • Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers
  • Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions
  • stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items
  • maintaining the OTC areas
  • processing clinic medication requisitions
  • other duties as required by the pharmacist
