We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Pharmacy Technician at varying levels (I, II). The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • TSBP Registration
  • 6+ months pharmacy tech experience OR experience as a pharmacy service representative OR completion from an accredited pharmacy technician program
  • Proven ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions
  • Stress tolerance - Proven ability to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical Stamina - Proven ability to work in fast paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy
  • Proven ability to address customers about complaints and problems

Nice To Haves

  • For Pharmacy Technician II: 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

  • Pharmacy Technician I: Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law
  • Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers
  • Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions
  • Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist
  • Pharmacy Technician II: Includes all duties of a Pharmacy Technician I
