Participates in a minimum 52-week learning experience program through the various services of the Department of Pharmacy to learn, develop and practice the skills necessary to fulfill a distinguished professional career as a health system pharmacist. Completes all required activities as expected by the residency program as defined by the ASHP accreditation standards. Serving in the capacity of a Registered Pharmacist, the Resident is responsible for the identification, resolution, and prevention of medication-related issues. They provide drug information and recommendations for optimization of medication therapy to physicians, nurses and patients.
