About The Position

The postgraduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy residency program is a structured, one-year educational and training experience that fosters the development of advanced knowledge and skills in the delivery of pharmaceutical care. The residency consists of core and elective rotations in key areas of clinical practice as well as longitudinal experiences.  The fundamental goal of the residency is advance the education and training of pharmacists in patient-centered care and to serve as members of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a college or university
  • Eligibility for MA pharmacy licensure

Responsibilities

  • Complete core and elective rotations at the clinical practice site and participate in longitudinal activities that support the goals of the training program
  • Gain teaching experience within a variety of settings in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS University, Boston
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.
