About The Position

Throughout the twelve month education and training program, the PGY1 pharmacy resident is provided the opportunity to accelerate their growth beyond entry-level professional competence in patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services, and to further the development of leadership skills that can be applied in any position and in any practice setting. PGY1 pharmacy residents acquire substantial knowledge required for skillful problem solving, refine their problem-solving strategies, strengthen their professional values and attitudes, and advance the growth of their clinical judgement.

Requirements

Doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university of the United States or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) Certification.
Licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin, or be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program.
