About The Position

Purpose & Scope:
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for coordinating operational and clinical pharmacy services to ensure that the pharmacy department provides safe and high-level quality services on a daily basis. The Pharmacy Supervisor facilitates the development, implementation and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies. This shall be carried out in accordance with and all federal and state laws, TJC standards and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
• Three years of healthcare/medical - pharmaceutical/pharmacology experience is required.
• Licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.
