The pharmacy practice resident (the resident) will actively participate in formulary management, medication management, and pharmacotherapy services. The resident will review, process and verify physician orders for appropriateness while ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of medications to patients. The resident will provide drug information to health care professionals and patients to assist in providing accurate medication therapy. The scope of services provided by the resident shall include accurate order entry, accessing allergy information, clinical interventions, medication dosing, renal dosing, hyperalimentation preparation, and medication counseling. The resident will assist with pharmacy staff development, nursing and prescriber education, and pharmacy student training (when applicable). The resident will maintain a cordial and professional work environment.
