About The Position

Organization's Summary Statement: The School of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites applicants to apply for an Adjunct faculty position in the areas of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. UMES is located in rural Maryland and is one of America’s most beautiful campuses. The School of Pharmacy is dedicated to developing exemplary pharmacy professionals and scholars who are committed to patient-centered care, lifelong learning, discovery, and service for diverse communities of the Delmarva Peninsula, the State of Maryland, and around the world. Faculty are dedicated and promote a positive work environment. The UMES School of Pharmacy utilizes a three-year, year-round, modular curriculum. Courses in our curriculum are team-taught. Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Post-graduate residency/fellowship training or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Academia
  • A commitment to teaching a diverse population of graduate students at the university level.
  • Ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty and staff in and of the School of Pharmacy

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in geriatrics, pediatrics, or informatics.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop courses with laboratories in the areas of pharmacy practice and experiential education.
  • Create assessment questions and other classroom activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
