Pharmacy Operations Supervisor Job Summary: The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor at CoverMyMeds will lead and oversee the daily operations of a pharmacy support team, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional customer service, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows, prior authorization processes, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of pharmacy operations specialists, providing performance feedback and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and manage daily operational workflows, including prescription processing, prior authorization support, and communication with pharmacies and healthcare providers.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve escalated customer and pharmacy issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, sales, and account management, to ensure seamless integration of services and support.
  • Ensure team adherence to all relevant HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and company policies.
  • Participate in the interviewing and onboarding process for new team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and individual performance reviews.
