Requirements

• High School diploma /GED and completion of Tech Training Program including Sterile Product course
• ACPE Pharmacy Sterile Products Certification/Must be IV Certified
• PTCB certified
• TSBP registered
• 6+ years of pharmacy experience with 5 years in pharmacy admixture
• Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions. Able to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems.
• Ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions. Math cash handling-able to add and subtract; able to make change; able to complete daily cash report.
• Ability to type 20wpm
• 10-key by touch
• Compounding Sterile Products
• Have order entry, purchasing and inventory experience with medications and supplies
• Stress Tolerance- to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina- to work in a fast-paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy

Nice To Haves

• HMO’s and 3rd party managed care experience
• Demonstrated ability to know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist
• Compounding Chemotherapy

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of medication ordered as permitted by state law
• Maintains good customer service by Processing, compounding, and delivering medication in a timely manner
• Responsible for ordering and inventory on medical supplies and medications
• Other duties include ordering medication and stocking inventory, processing clinic medication requisitions, maintaining accurate records and other duties as required by the Pharmacist
