About The Position

Perform all duties required for proper reporting to fiscal requests on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Daily management of cash register deposits and reconciliation. Assist with AR accounts management and third-party reconciliation. OTC ordering and inventory management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience using POS cash register system.
  • Previous experience using computerized system for information storage and retrieval.
  • Ability to accurately input, access, and retrieve information from computer systems or programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts based on company and customer needs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both staff and customers.
  • Ability to conduct business in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile cash registers and create daily deposits while assuring an adequate amount of money is available for daily operations.
  • Process voids and returns as needed.
  • Assist with AR accounts management including but not limited to processing payments and payment options, collection processes, and fielding questions arising from statements. Print and process monthly statements for AR accounts.
  • Prepare and submit daily, monthly, and yearly reports to the fiscal department including updating spreadsheets.
  • Assist with third party reconciliation. Prepare and reconcile deposits received from third party payers.
  • Train new employees on the point of sale (POS) system and general clerical duties.
  • Monitor POS system for functionality.
  • Assist with Medicare Part B billing and reconciliation.
  • Assist with ordering pharmacy supplies through accepted sources.
  • Order, receive, and stock OTC products, including updating prices in the POS system.
  • Rotate OTC stock to ensure proper expiration dates and conduct regular inventory checks reporting any discrepancies.
  • Complete return to stock prescriptions at appropriate time interval and reconcile bin reports researching prescriptions that have not been picked up in appropriate time frame, ascertaining their location and taking appropriate action.
  • General housekeeping duties keeping POS counters and OTC shelves clean and merchandised.
  • All Pharmacy Clerk duties as assigned.
  • All other appropriate duties as assigned.
