This role involves engaging customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. The cashier is expected to model and share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, and develop strong relationships with valuable customers. Operational duties include processing customer purchases, handling cash and change, managing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. The cashier recommends items, assists with OTC products, operates pharmacy systems to check prescription status, and reports prescription errors to the pharmacist. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, taking inventory, checking in and pricing merchandise, implementing asset protection procedures, ensuring compliance with laws regarding regulated products, constructing and maintaining displays, and assisting with store maintenance. The role requires compliance with company policies, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers, and completing special assignments. Personal development includes attending training and completing assigned PPLs.
