About The Position
We’re seeking a pharmacy cashier to join our team at Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, GA . The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, excellent customer service skills, detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of cashier experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating the cash register and assisting customers with their transactions
- Responsible for exemplifying customer service skills when greeting and assisting customers
- Responsible for accurately handling the cash drawer and processing payments and charges
- Assists the pharmacist in opening/closing of the retail pharmacy/gift shop areas daily, ensuring areas are locked when closing
- Maintains inventory of supplies in the pharmacy and reorders them accordingly.
- Ensures all supplies are stocked and maintained
- Ensures the right medication is given to the right person every time by verifying the first name, last name, and date of birth
- Assists the pharmacist in completing courtesy calls when customers have not picked up prescriptions within a 7-day timeframe
- Ensures will-call prescriptions remain organized by last name
