Location: 1301 Dale Bumpers Forrest City, AR 72335. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:30am–4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (40 hours per week). Pay: $74 per hour, 1099.

Requirements

• Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice in any state in the United States.
• At a minimum, must be a graduate of an accredited school of higher education as a pharmacist.
• Possess knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedure to perform job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems and of safety principles and infections control in the patient care environment.
• Possess the ability to relate and deal effectively with physician, peers, inmates, and others; to recognize, report, and record changes in patient’s physical and emotional condition.
• Be able to administer medication.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of medical/dental staff prescription orders.
• Selecting the correct medication and filling the prescription.
• Entering prescriptions into the pharmacy’s prescription computer system and printing prescription labels.
• Inventorying medications and supplies, recording items that are low and in stocking levels, and advising the Health Service Administrator (HSA) or COR of medications that need ordering.
• Interacting with inmates regarding their medication(s) and providing patient education about the medication(s).
