About The Position
The Pharmacist Specialty Services is a vital role within the MultiCare pharmacy department. Performing manipulative and non-discretionary functions, this position acts as a support system, providing both guidance and education to patients and families.
Requirements
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)

Responsibilities
- Perform patient outreach to ensure accurate and timely filling of specialty pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with clinic staff to connect patients with MHS specialty pharmacy resources
- Process prior authorization (PA) requests from specialty clinics
- Determine patient eligibility and enroll patients in copay assistance and medication assistance programs when appropriate
