Accurately interpret, review, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations Perform clinical review of prescriptions including dosage, frequency, contraindications, and drug-drug interactions Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, interactions, and special requirements Provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and other clinical consultation services Communicate with prescribers and healthcare providers regarding therapy clarification and recommendations Ensure proper procurement, storage, inventory control, and handling of medications, including controlled substances Maintain accurate records and compliance with FDA, DEA, CMS, TJC, and Maryland Board of Pharmacy regulations Support pharmacy operations including policies, procedures, budgeting, and workflow efficiency Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff training, scheduling, interviewing, and oversight as directed Perform cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation Support specialty pharmacy operations if applicable Complete additional duties related to retail pharmacy operations as assigned Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required or equivalent combination of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and experience Newly graduated and licensed pharmacists are encouraged to apply Preferred: 1+ year of experience in outpatient or retail pharmacy Active Maryland Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain licensure Licensure must be obtained within 4 months of hire or graduation, as applicable Maryland Immunization Certification required (must be obtained within 4 months if not already licensed) CPR Certification required Licensure must be obtained within 4 months of hire or graduation, as applicable Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service and patient interaction skills Ability to multitask, manage interruptions, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills Ability to work efficiently under time and volume constraints Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills Comfortable handling conflict resolution professionally Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to work shifts up to 10 hours Prolonged standing and walking Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
