Pharmacist - Lead
About The Position
The Pharmacist Lead dispenses medications ensuring that the right drug, the right dose, the right directions, the right refills, the right doctor, and the right precautions are indicated on each prescription label. The Pharmacist is an important information resource to patients, providers, and staff and interacts in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The individual maintains appropriate documentation and meets all state and federal standards. The Pharmacist Lead assists management with maintaining an effective, knowledgeable team by acting as a resource and role model to other Pharmacists and by demonstrating excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or doctorate in pharmacy.
- Two years’ experience as a pharmacist.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Pharmacist license awarded by applicable state or eligibility for applicable state pharmacist licensure that must be obtained within three months of hire.
- Vaccine Administration Certificate: Completion of a course of study and training in administration technique conducted by a course provider approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the board within one year of hire.
