About The Position
MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician-led, multi-specialty group within MultiCare Health System, delivering integrated hematology, oncology, radiation, surgical and supportive care across Washington state. Each year, we diagnose and treat more than 6,000 new cancer cases across Olympia, Spokane, Tacoma and Yakima. We bring together advanced pathology, imaging and evidence-based treatment with holistic supportive services to provide personalized, high-quality cancer care. As we continue to grow, we are building the Pacific Northwest’s most comprehensive and high-value oncology network—projected to double in volume over FTE: 1.0, Shift: 8-hr day shift, Schedule: variable, occasional weekends Position Summary The Pharmacist Infusion Specialty Services is an exciting professional opportunity at MultiCare, ensuring prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses and physicians. This position will offer you the capacity to apply your knowledge and expertise toward supporting quality health services and patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
- Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintains appropriate records
- Supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work
- Assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
- Provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service
