About The Position

The Pharmaceutical Distribution Intern will play a vital role in supporting the distribution of Johnson & Johnson pharmaceuticals at our facility through a variety of operational and supply chain-related projects. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities for students looking to build a career in supply chain management and distribution operations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and warehouse management systems is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Participate in cost improvement projects and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Help track critical supply inventory levels and monitor operational metrics.
  • Gain exposure to inventory management on a site, regional, and global scale.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and business partners, including Quality Assurance, Transportation, and Safety.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of the movement of people, processes, and products throughout the distribution center.
  • Monitor current workflows, identifying inefficiencies or gaps, and developing actionable recommendations for process improvements.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System to evaluate the impact of distribution activities at both macro and micro levels.
