Requirements

  • MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline with 5+ years of independent, lab-based research experience required.
  • Ph.D. with 0-1 year of relevant post-doc/industry experience may also be considered.
  • Thorough understanding of the theory of above-mentioned techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Works well both within a team and as an individual.
  • Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, purify, and characterize high-quality antibody conjugates (e.g., ADCs, ARCs, DACs) with a high degree of independence to support discovery and development programs.
  • Experience with ADC characterization methods, including UV-Vis, SEC, HIC, RP, IEX, cIEF, and LC-MS preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with protein purification systems; proficiency with AKTA FPLCs preferred.
  • Implement state-of-the-art bioconjugation technologies (cysteine, lysine, site-specific, and other approaches) and apply bioorthogonal chemistries to generate bioconjugates.
  • Develop purification strategies (up to 100 mg) using affinity, ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction, size exclusion, and tangential flow filtration.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of experimental procedures in an electronic notebook and prepare reports and technical documents as needed.
  • Present periodic updates and findings to project teams and management.
